Frequently Asked Question

Find answers to common questions about our online music classes, enrollment process, and learning approach.

General Learning FAQs

    • Electronic Keyboard: Often considered easier initially because pressing a key produces a perfect, in-tune note immediately. The visual layout of keys also makes music theory (scales, intervals) more intuitive.
    • Acoustic Guitar: Requires initial physical endurance to build finger calluses and strength to press down strings. However, many find they can play basic songs faster once they master a few standard chord shapes.

While our standard enrolment begins at age 8, we are happy to accept younger students who feel ready for the duration of a class. We believe every child’s journey is unique, and we’d love to see if they are a good fit.

Electronic Keyboard FAQs

    • Weighted Keys: Essential for developing proper finger strength and "touch" (playing loud vs. soft).
    • Key Count: While 61 keys are sufficient for many pop songs, 88 keys (full piano range) are recommended for serious students.
    • Touch Sensitivity: Ensures the volume changes based on how hard you press the keys.

Acoustic Guitar FAQs

This is normal for beginners. As you practice daily, your fingertips will develop calluses that make playing comfortable.
